It's not heavy; it's not wildly significant. But A Walk in the Woods has a redemptive tone, a gentle lesson about aging and limitations and never giving up despite any required climb, uphill or otherwise.

Won't ever be mentioned in the same breath as any of Redford or Nolte's classic films - it's too silly and too obvious - but watching these two charismatic actors onscreen it's not hard to remember what we liked about them in the first place.

(Redford and Nolte) make tired clichés feel like old friends, taking us on a pleasant stroll through the woods that may not lead anywhere, but we're having such a good time that the destination no longer matters.

Home sick in bed and decided to watch this for free on Kanopy.com. It was the perfect remedy for me - a lighthearted, humorous adventure starring two great American actors: Redford & Nolte. If you’re not looking for high anxiety, high energy/volume, then this is for you. The scenery’s not bad either 😁

I absolutely loved this movie, Very funny, the characters were memorable, and it's such a unique concept for a movie. Never really understood the hate for the movie according to the rotten tomatoes score.

Considering the historically brilliant actors in the cast, and the possibility of a beautiful story in amazing settings, this film was surprisingly awful. I kept watching thinking it was going to get better. It had to get better. Then it ended. Badly. I have no experience in filmmaking, but I’m sure I could’ve directed it better myself.

Highly enjoyable motion picture. 🎆 The Appalachian Trail (A.T.) is a 2,168-mile hiking trail stretching from Georgia to Maine, passing through 14 states. You've got to see this film. 🏞️

I love the book which might be why I even made it through this film. I couldn't decide if Robert Redford was playing an uncharismatic author with no social skills or couldn't act and thus came off that way.
