Newspaper reporters get offed by a killer who calls them first. Loni Anderson tv movie where she runs the Faircrest Falcon. I'm not sure how the paper is able to go to print. It appears only three people work on it and two of them seem just as busy with the exploring a budding new romance as they do in publishing the paper.
Big-city and small-town reporter hook up inside and outside of the office for a murder investigation. By-the-numbers whodunit with a cliched phonecalling whispering assailant. Film overstates the smalltown aspect by having the reporters 'cover' a kids birthday party. Features a couple well-travelled veterans of tv movie genre in Loni Anderson and Joe Penny but yields only ordinary results.
