Audience Reviews for Abba in Concert
If you like ABBA or just seemed interested, this is the video for you. It shows their behind the scene warm ups and day to day life of traveling, especially in the U.S. tour.
It takes a while to get into the actual concert of 1979. You have to wait 20 minutes or so. But from then it's just great.
Why I have not seen this till now I do not know. It was a real treat!
SEE it all here:
1 Really exciting to see this concert. so beautiful. unique. they are able to convey the serenity that love for music. it seems that time stands still, when they begin their song, we hear the call of something unique and special feel a communication given by our ancestral DNA. the spirit, faith and love ♥ ♥ thank you ABBA
2 When those 2 women sang together something magic happened. And the boys wrote good tunes.
3 Hey, fellow ABBA fans, let's relax a little bit! You're being WAY too hard on this DVD. Remember it's a 25 year old DOCUMENTARY, not a concert, and it was shot by a network that didn't religiously archive the footage because nobody at the time expected people 25 years later to care! There's plenty of full length numbers, and they rip! Having been lucky enough to have seen ABBA at the Music Hall in Boston during this tour (as did most of Aerosmith, the Cars and the J. Giels Band down in the front rows), I'm delighted now to own this DVD because it proves a point I've long tried to make to my sceptical friends. ABBA WERE UNDENIABLY A GREAT, GREAT LIVE ACT.
2004 release of the document of the Swedish supergroup's final concert tour from 1979, recorded at Wembley Arena. Includes filmed interviews with the men behind the scenes (director Urban Lasson and tour producer Thomas Johansson), a picture gallery including the original tour program, the movie trailer, a trailer for the 5th anniversary of the musical "Mamma Mia", a 28 page booklet, Dolby Digital 5.1 surround sound and subtitles.
2 You can buy this DVD for as little as $2.18 (U.S.) plus shipping. Amazing! Well worth it from amazon.com I think the shipping is around 3 dollars (U.S.) inside the states.
