A & C bring the funny

Great Abbott and Costello film, though it may not be as perfect as some of their other films it's still pretty good and very funny.

An amusing effort which isn't too far off the mark from Laurel and Hardy's superior 'Bonnie Scotland' (1935).

Not bad but a weaker one thus far.

In this film Bud and Lou get there first taste in being outside the US, Its comical to see what wasn't political correct in these days. The are on a quest to find a wrestler who broke his contract and left New York for his home tribe in Algiers. Comedy is there but again not like some of there other films.

This is a far cry from Morocco (1933) but the boys make it worth the trip.

I didn't enjoy this one as much as their cross-genre films which mix in horror elements. The pair are in Algeria looking for a famed wrestler when they are mistaken for spies by some Arabs. They are chased into the Legion's headquarters and are soon signed up for duty. They unwittingly unravel a traitor's plot, a sargent who has been working with the Arabs to hamper the development of a rail line though the country. Not surprisingly there was a lot of anti-Arab sentiment even this long ago coming from Hollywood.

Amusing romp for the 2 fellows here. After their prozed wrestler goes AWOL to Algeria, Bud and Lou follow, and get mixed up with some wacky Arabs, and yes, the foreign legion. Not as offensive as you might think, this does have some yocks here and there thanks to Lou Costello''s amazing comedic timing.

One of the better outings with plenty of funny gags.

Abbott and Costello are accidentally enrolled into the Foreign Legion, sound familiar (Buck Privates)? At least the desert provides some extra humor with a mirage and a talking skeleton.

The boys run a wrestling promotion, & the wrestler they hired runs off after a quarrel over losing. They go to Algeria to find him, & end up being recruited in the Foreign Legion. Its got some great laughs, but I felt it kinda got a bit uninteresting at times. A good movie, but they've done better.

Starting to loose steam here- definitely not for first-timers.

They use less routines and try out more sight gags in this one. Plenty of wild antics in the desert and a great finale. Not much else to say about it although it is a personal fave. Good stuff.

Beau Geste it's not, but it's still Abbott and Costello.

a great comedy for the comedy duo

I love the part when Costello is eating the weird looking apple that really turns out to be an onion.
