Movie Info

The Sunshine State receives a cruel blast of cold when the temperature plunges and the planet Earth enters into another ice age in a frostbitten disaster thriller starring Jeff Fahey and Erika Eleniak. David Koch (Fahey) is a top climatologist at INTER SCI, and his most recent discovery is most disturbing. Soon after discovering that the shift in polarity that triggered the previous ice age happened in only one day, Koch singles out frightening evidence that it's about to happen all over again. Now, as the cold winds begin to blow and the mercury rapidly plummets towards -459.67 F, David and a small band of determined survivors including his one-time love Bryn (Elaniak) must race to a special, temperature-controlled chamber at INTER SCI if they have any hope of ensuring that the human race is still around for the next big thaw.

Critic Reviews for Absolute Zero

I've always had a soft spot for B-level disaster movies, but Absolute Zero is so silly, so wooden, and so stunningly inert -- I'm kinda surprised it didn't launch a new TV series.

Audience Reviews for Absolute Zero

I got so annoyed with this cheapie known as Absolute Zero that I did not even finish the entire film. Jeff Fahey (Machete) is a scientist warning that southern of US in face of catastrophic event when poles reverse and the land will be frozen. It will then be called Absolute Zero. Threatening right, well the bureaucrats running the show get in the way as they ignore the warning signs. The people ignore and sit and stare at their TV sets while animals behave strangely and a giant glacier appears in Miami. Fahey gathers up a colleague and students to help change the mind and save lives. Oh who cares, I was done with this film. By the way, nice toy set *kick*.

'Abosolute Zero' was Absolutely hilarious. The acting and effects in this movie cause the supposed serious plot, to be turned to a joke. I see this much like a VERY low-budget 'The Day After Tomorrow'. I actually would recommend this movie, but only if you have about 2 hours to waste and a group of friends.

This film "Deserves" a score less than 10% but because I made so many jokes while watching it...It was hysterical! I'm glad this film was made! Just so I can make comedic jokes about it. I like it! Let's give it an 81%!
