A woman escaping a violent past finds it unexpectedly catching up with her in this action drama from director Ulli Lommel. When she was a girl, Savannah (Carolyn Neff) was traumatized when she saw her father shot to death in front of his garage in Corpus Christi, Texas. Years later, Savannah feels she's finally put her life back together after a long period of struggle, and after spending years in California, she decides to return to the Lone Star State in hopes of putting the past to rest. Joining Savannah for the trip is her boyfriend Cooper (Rusty Joiner), a well-muscled guy nicknamed "Babyface," but during a stop in a town near the Mexican border, Cooper is confronted by a cop while Savannah has stepped out for a moment. As they try to run away, Cooper is shot and killed, but after a run-in with Raf McCane (David Carradine), the leader of an underworld gang, Savannah discovers there's a lot about Cooper that she didn't know -- including a possible link to the men who murdered her dad. Absolute Evil received its world premiere at the 2009 Berlin International Film Festival.
