Movie Info

When the canine sidekick of a dedicated cop is framed for a crime that no upstanding pooch would dare commit, it's up to the policeman's thirteen year-old daughter to clear the dog of any wrongdoing. Officer Dan Harding (Dean Cain) may be a hero in the community, but to his adolescent daughter Julie (Britt McKipp) he's just another dad who's too busy to bond with his family. But Officer Harding's trusty partner Ace has recently landed in some pretty hot water, and the only one capable of clearing his good name is young Julie. Perhaps if Julie is able to prove Ace's innocence, she'll finally be able to get through to her absent but well-intentioned father. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi

Audience Reviews for Ace of Hearts

Ace of Hearts is an altogether forgettable flick that provides nothing you haven't seen before. The main attraction that the film tries to set up for itself is how everything that happens in it is so unbelievable, but the lackluster acting and cliches make it feel bogged down from the beginning, so everything else just feels surreal. On top of that, the plot is just plain bizarre, especially when it comes to the titular Ace's downright creepy human intelligence. The whole thing just has a "direct to DVD" feel to it.

I didn't really care for this movie at all. But I will say that it's probably a good family movie for families with children 12 and under (though the parents may have to bite their tongues from saying, "that's so stupid" or "that doesn't make sense" outloud over and over like I did, lol). There were a few good emontional scenes but for me, Dean Cain was about the only highlight of the movie, lol.
