Movie Info

In the tradition of director Gabriel Range's Death of a President, Danish filmmaker Morten Hartz Kaplers teams with screenwriter Allan Miltor Jakobson to offer a politically slanted mockumentary detailing the assassination of Danish Prime Minister Anders Fogh Rasmussen. As interviews with Rasmussen's family, friends, and colleagues delve ever deeper into the right-wing leader's life and career, the details of the arrest and "accidental" murder of his accused killer - a troubled anarchist/musician named Emil (Kaplers) - gradually begin to suggest that not only was the Prime Minister a homosexual, but that he and the gunman were lovers as well. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi

Critic Reviews for AFR

All Critics (1)

The force of AFR is that it not only reflects on the power and the responsibility of the media and of the leader of a Western-style democracy, but also on the nature of freedom of speech itself.
