Ultimately, if you want to choke on a narrative that is rife with clichs and devoid of any real moral message then stick After The Ball on, if not, there are surely more productive things you can do... Such as watching paint dry.

Doubleday is a game gamine, and as the wicked stepsisters Hopkins and Krill manage to steal some scenes and win some laughs. Certainly, they help compensate for the film's witty/helpful/catty gay characters.
