Good acting, beautiful scenery, but I feel it lacked important storytelling elements. Instead it's focus is mainly on nice landscape shot. Nevertheless, after the essentially non-existent 2nd act, the end provided a nice theme, and a sad conclusion. 3/5 *.

Beautifully filmed, authentic performances and a director who allowed the landscape and physical performances to tell a great deal of the emotional story of reindeer herders whose children have drifted away, who see the end of their way of life, and who prepare for that end with nobility and grace.

Ága is a poetic film that leaves one emotionally invested long after the film has ended. Long lingering shots cause the eye to study the environment well after the action has moved on, with a soundscape that keeps you rooted in the moment. A stunning film, not to be passed over.
