Audience Reviews for Alien Abduction

Even for The Asylum this is bad...really bad. Apparently filmed at recess for about $10 (check out the completely inappropriate and ill fitting "military" uniforms and the ONE revolver), I found it hard to believe it was only an hour and half long. It drags from start to finish and run time feels at least twice that. Somehow Megan Lee Ethridge stands out, which is a huge testament to her because nothing else in this stinker works.

The best thing that can be said about this film is that it paid everyone's rent for a month. Shot in less than ten days on a thin six-digit budget. A foursome out camping in the woods videotape being attacked and kidnapped by aliens - because the director saw "Blair Witch Project." The protagonist survivor (Megan Lee Ethridge) ends up a tortured and abused prisoner in a secret government hospital run by a sadistic nurse - because the director saw "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest." The majority of the film follows Ethridge around the hospital, using monochromatic blue or green lens-work, as she tries to escape - because the director saw "Gothika." Ethridge, who dominates almost every scene, did as much as could be expected with this hot mess and so she's earned a "get your career out of jail free" card. Director Forsberg should never have been trusted with another budget again - - though he was. An episode of "The Price Is Right" would be more rewarding viewing. In fact, I just watched an episode where someone guessed the showcase to the EXACT dollar and, given the incredible odds of doing so, it actually WAS more rewarding viewing. RECOMMENDATION: Are you kidding?

There was a nice twist at the end of the story that I hadn't expected, so I thought the ending was great.
