Movie Info

After falling asleep in a theater, Harry is starting to head home when he stumbles upon a burglary in progress. One of the burglars recognizes Harry as an old army pal, and they start talking about old times. The two had been involved in a heated rivalry over a girl while they were in France during the war, and now they have quite a bit to say to each other.

Audience Reviews for All Night Long

The Cleveland Institute of Art's Cinematheque had a night of five short silents by comedy greats. There were a lot more educational frames of text at the beginning of this one to explain why Langdon never became as popular. Although supposedly at one time he was the biggest competitor of Chaplin. This story is told in flashbacks. Harry Langdon was serving K.P. duty in the war over in France. Vernon Dent plays his sergeant. And a French girl is free with her affection for both. There are a few good gags and a couple interesting effects when the boys are called to the front lines and no man's land. But I didn't think the story or sense of humor in this one was anywhere near the level of the others from this night of Comedy Stars.
