Movie Info

Clifton Ko spins this wacky blockbuster comedy featuring a cast list that a veritable who's who of Hong Kong cinema. The film's plot as such concerns love affairs involving members of the same family. Moon (Raymond Wong) is cheating on his ditzy wife Ching (Sandra Ng) with a comely real life Miss Hong Kong contestant Sheila Chan. Butch lesbian and Harley enthusiast Leung Mo-shang (Teresa Mo) first hates then improbably falls for the effete guy Shang So (Leslie Cheung). Meanwhile, hipster DJ Shang Foon (Stephen Chiau) falls for space cadet movie fiend Holliyok (Maggie Cheung). As the film progresses, Moon begins to pine for his wife while Foon, after a sharp blow to the head, becomes a drooling cretin. This film gained some notoriety before it was released when the triads stole the film's negatives and demanded a ransom.

A comedy classic for HK Cinema. Still a must-watch for every Lunar New Year throughout the years. Very well written, hilarious scriptlines. Prominent performance by Stephen Chow, Teresa Mo and Lesilie Cheung.
