Frank S @CH3NO2Semonious Jan 11 The movie American Nitro runs for about 1 hour 15 minutes, a concise length that covers its documentary focus on 1970s funny car drag racing without overstaying its welcome, making it a good time capsule of the era. Yes there are some corny bits and even a few cringe moments because the producers didn't realize that braless girls were so common we were used to them and had to put in a whole segment admiring some nice pairs. (I'm not complaining, but keep in mind these women are grandmothers now.) I traveled with Bryan Raines team and got see it all live. If you have any interest in why Drag Racing used to be so much better than it is today this is the film for you. Never a dull moment with many insane acts booked to keep things going while the teams prepared for the the next round of racing. Be sure to grab a hot dog and a cold beer before watching this, and crank up the volume!
