Audience Reviews for An Autumn's Tale

Another love story in which Chow Yun Fat and Cherie Chung play hero and heroin. Almost all location shoot in NYC, and it makes me miss that city. Chow Yun Fat is really really good to play this kind of role of a man with a child heart - like a man who is usually liked by a lot of guys (not in gay way) but makes a woman feel unsecure to be with. Although Yun Fat and Cherie both do good jobs, it is just another ordinary love story EXCEPT for the ending. It is straight good scene, using a watch symbolically to explain an unaccomplished feeling of love. This love story is not an easy love fantasy but a realistic mature love story. Sometimes a love does not come true due to so many realistic problems especially if a man is not settled like Chow Yun Fat character in this film. I can identify mine with Mabel Cheung's viewpoint on relationship between a man and a woman. I really believe female directors are usually much better in making love story films. I just love this ending part of the film.
