Critic Review - Guardian [UK]

A strange, gloomy, moderately acted damp squib of a movie.

Like looking in the mirror. At least someone gets the plot even if it is a sad, gloomy etc..

The another earth is a fierce contemplatory view
of who we are and what we could have been/what we could be.

Rhona (Brit Marling) excels in her role with a delicacy that is both intense and dis-quietening.

William Mapother is robust, dynamic and charged. His entwinement with Rhoda is nothing short of magical and helps us see the truths of love, the pains of want and the sheer agony of need.

The film is set to a musical ensemble which seems to chide throughout the quietest scenes and can stretch your emotions to the deepest tenures.

This is a must see of a movie.
