Movie Info

Two women who learn to depend upon each other discover they have more in common than they imagined in this psychological thriller. When Laurel (Lisa Rinna) was a child, she saw her brother drown as she stood by helpless, unable to swim well enough to save his life. While Laurel has grown into a beautiful woman and has a successful practice as a psychiatrist, she still bears scars of guilt over the incident and is deathly afraid of the water. Realizing she needs to face her fears and confront her guilt if she is to go on with her life, Laurel decides to take swimming lessons. Susan (Gail O'Grady), her instructor, is a woman with emotional issues of her own; outside of the swimming pool, she's never been confident of her value as a person, and her marriage to Johnny (Dale Midkiff) is in sad shape. As Susan helps Laurel overcome her fear of the water, Laurel helps Susan believe in herself and encourages her to fight to hold on to her man. However, when Laurel passes along that advice to her new friend, she's unaware that Johnny, Susan's husband, is also Jake, her lover. Another Woman's Husband also stars Sally Kirkland and Charlotte Rae.

Audience Reviews for Another Woman's Husband

I cannot believe people watch this crap. This is nothing but a two-hour soap opera, and I wanted to slit my wrists ten minutes into it. Sad thing is, I live with my mother, and all she watches is these cheesy Lifetime movies. They're all the same, and they're all stupid.

This movie is based on real life events. I love this movie! Just goes to show that a friendship between two people can actually be stronger than the bonds of holy matrimony. Gail O'Grady and Lisa Rinna give wonderful performances in this movie.
