Critic Reviews for Aquellos que me Aman Tomarán el Tren
A wholly rewarding work for those with the patience for its unhurried pace.
There's little substance to the dialogue or the plotless narrative, but the intense actors seem to put everything into their performance and give it an air that something big is taking place.
Committees may be necessary to run a democracy, but they do not seem an ideal structure for writing a good movie.
Audience Reviews for Aquellos que me Aman Tomarán el Tren
WOW. Complicated, so very complicated. In addition to lost in translation, a dozen characters start exchanging tons of monologues & dialogues since the very opening; joining by another dozen popping up from nowhere in the middle. A bunch of big names in French Cinema in 90s- Pascal Greggory, Charles Berling, Valeria Bruni Tedeschi, Vincent Perez, Bruno Todeschini, Guillaume Canet.
The ensemble here was just as impressive as the settings. This film is worth watching more than once for the depth of the characters and relationships.

French film I thought was going to have something about lesbians in it, but the cover is deceptive. It's a woman & man in drag. The only queers in it are whiney fags. Story & acting is a little too soap operatic.
