I would love to see Jaoui make another grownup Parisian film with Bacri as the star - perhaps playing the president of the republic. He is underused.
Jaoui's debt to Woody Allen is more glaring than ever: some of the characters are just a bundle of neuroses.
French writer-director-actress Agnes Jaoui returns with a multi-generational cast who contemplate the chance of fairytale romances in Paris.
An accomplished actress herself, Jaoui draws committed performances from her ensemble that effectively ground the breezy material.
Be warned. We are issuing a top-level quirk alert. This is not a drill.
An amiable if slightly laboured ensemble comedy.
There are some nice individual moments here, but they all appear amid a sea of wacky randomness.
Amuses in spite of its narrative convolutions and surfeit of secondary characters.
[Jaoui's] among the most consistently playful and introspective (without navel gazing) of filmmakers.
A delightful French dramedy about young love, middle-age, and the continuing quest for an intimate and lasting relationship.
The point of it all is never quite made clear.
