Augustin Dos Santos (Jean-Chretian Sibertin-Blanc), the struggling actor with big fluffy dreams returns in the feature-length sequel to the 1995's 61 min comedy "Augustin." Maggie Cheung, who appeared in a handful of French films before, during, and after her three year marriage to director Oliver Assayas, co-stars as a physical therapist struggling to adapt to French culture. Already proficient in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin the international actress supposedly learned French on-set.

The sequel to the French hit, Augustin, Augustine Dos Santos is back. This time, he struts his favorite martial arts moves - stuff he learned from watching Hong Kong martial arts movies - in the hopes of starring in a kung fu movie of his own.

Dos Santos' antics makes for a silly yet funny movie. With his mind firmly made up to follow his dream, he goes to the next best location - Chinatown in France. As he enrolls himself in a martial arts class, he finds he has a problem with human contact. Thus he finds an acupuncturist Ling (Maggie Cheung).

Colorful characters make the movie quite enjoyable. Darry Cowl, famous French comedian plays Augustin's possessive friend. The film is simple yet elegant. It's a quiet movie you will certainly enjoy amidst the rainy season with a nice cup of coffee on hand.
