Movie Info

This film combines elements of documentary, autobiography, and fiction to paint portraits of modern women and their feelings about childbirth and motherhood. Much of the movie is based on actual interviews with women in their 30s and 40s. It is done in short episodes centered around a baby shower. The main woman, Gena, is a middle-aged professional undecided about having a baby with her boyfriend James, who has a nesting urge. She is almost ready to do it, when Gena's old lover Anthony returns and makes a tempting proposal. She is confused. When she believes herself to be pregnant, more confusion arises as she waits for the test results.more
