Director George Sidney has all the oomph and vulgarity required, but he can't do anything about Red Skelton, who takes up way too much time and space.

Audience Reviews for Bathing Beauty

½

red skelton takes up entirely too much space, but esther dominates the screen by her lack of fanfare. except in the famous aquacade sequence...she says she had pneumonia that take. XD One of the awesomest dance things in any movie, EVER. WATCH WATCH WATCH NAU

The core plot of Caroline believing that Steve was still married (simply because she refuses to listen to him) is extremely implausible. Otherwise, it's an OK movie.

Not one of Esther Williams' more memorable films, but Red Skelton's antics are always worth a watch.
