Don't blame the leads, but the movie has less emotional resonance than an old FTD florist commercial with Merlin Olsen.
A good, even beautiful, premise, but this romance is stronger on ambience than development.
A very sweet movie, Slater and Masterson encompass real sparks
I really liked this one years ago. Must be at least 10 years since I last watched it. My thoughts now? It's kind of a downer, actually. Not the sweet romantic film I remembered. Not to say it is bad, Mary Stuart and Christian make a convincing pair, and they are nice together, but it does have a sadder plot than I remembered, although there's a lovely happy ending, so no real complaints. I liked the soundtrack too. Had to go and hunt down that Scarlet track ð~

Masterson's character in this movie is a lot like many women today, lonely and afraid to love. This romantic drama is realistic, but also sweet. I really liked Slater in this movie, if you're a fan you need to see this. Overall, a good romance movie.
This is definitely a chick flick. Career girl (Mary Stuart Masterson) wooed by a young guy (Christian Slater) who has already made his millions and is now enjoying life.
A favorite romantic...
