Not quite sure what all the fuss is about...
Sparse and poignant telling of a blood feud in 1910's Brazil. Great photography and solid acting.
Eu gosto muito do Walter Salles e esse filme é simplesmente maravilhoso.
This film was very well made. It actually makes you dizzy from the plot to the ending and swings you along for the tramatic ride. deserves the 5 stars I gave it!
Very Brazilian-esque, heavy with their traditions and off center stories that often feel fantasy like.
I really liked the photography and the dialogues in this movie. A long story of revanche is ended by the sacrifice of a young boy. Adoro o cinema brasileiro com filmes de histórias dos reais onde o mais importante é o que acotece na pessoa, as mudanças.
depressing but awesome. deserves the Little Golden Lion award at the 2001 Venice Film Festival.
Great Brazilian film, but why must they all in tragedy. Jeeze...
The cinematography in this movie is one of the best I have ever seen... Its mind boggling to me how serious foreign films take the art of film making, Behind the Sun is a movie of revenge and ultimately following your own path and NOT the one that is laid for you...
on a foreign movie watching spree--spanish, argentinean, french, and this final brazilian movie today topped them all.
