Homi Adajania completely transports you into that eccentric, hyper energetic & some what crazy world of Parsis effectively in his directorial debut. One of its kind neo noir suspense/mystery thriller which completely hooks you in last 30 minutes with it's unexpected twist & turns. Salim Sulaiman's terrifyingly awesome b/g score keeps the tension intact while crisp camera work by Jehangir Chowdhary & editing by Anand Subaya & Jon Harris gives it a neo noir feel.
Saif Ali Khan delivers one of his career best performances aided well by terrific Boman Irani, Simone Singh & Manoj Pahwa. Oh.....I just forgot marvelous acting by veterans like Honey Chhaya, Dimple Kapadia & Naseeruddin Shah. It's hard to believe that same director has directed shithead like Cocktail.

A bold attempt at bringing subtlety to Indian cinema. I mean that in the best way possible.

It's a movie that skillfully depicts the entrenched misery of unhappy families. A light take on a dark subject, it makes its point without laying heavy on the heart, for which the audience is grateful.

Great performances from all the actors, but particularly from Saif Ali Khan and the ironically named Inspector Lovely.

Except for the end... I thought the rest was brilliant. Boman Irani plays the most believable eccentric Parsi character.. I guess more Indian film makers outta go this way!!

Homi Adajania delivers in his directorial debut in this twisted movie. Saif Ali Khan delivers the performance of a lifetime, and Adajania's affectations for Hitchcock are more than evident in several scenes, and handled with aplomb. A relatively heavy topic, dealt with in a sort of sinister grandeur, Adajania surprises with his professionalism, giving us a glimpse of what should be a lot more to come.

started out as a very interesting blend of different genres, and had a lot of potential - up to the point when it turned into a fairly predictable crime story with a very predictable twist

The movie which prima facie seems like a prodigious thriller ends up as an unsavory experience of sorts. A senile elderly harried by his brutish son, played by Boman Irani, whose demure wife makes it a pretty weird pairing, a feisty wife, enacted effusively by Dimple Kapadia, making gritty efforts to emancipate her mundane marriage with her sloppy and delirious husband, a retired sculptor,Naseerudin Shah, and a complete stranger to them all, Saif a coy, debonair personality out to take some pottery lessons but having a cosseted view of things completes the heterogeneous, sinister and uncanny characters that call for an out of the box intriguing drama. Stellar performances from the entire cast consolidate the interest in their tepid characters with the exception of Naseerudin Shah, who looked a bit incongruous. A moribund and forlorn feel created by its characters engulfs the whole movie creating an impasse somehow overcome by the unprecedented turn of events in an otherwise debilitating plot.

After Omkara and Being Cyrus, you wish that Saif would have done more negative roles. This film is about Saif and Simone Singh tormenting a Parsi family who are screwed up badly themselves.Naseeruddin Shah is brilliant as ever. Didn't like Dimple Kapadia's performance -- too expressive for the role.

Nice narration and beautifully executed thriller. The clues are sprinkled all over the movie but it truly comes into its own towards the end with perfection.

Being Cyrus--- surely an under rated movie in recent days..
from settings to plot to the acting by every actor of the cast have done justice to the story..
its worth a worth with show stealers like Khan, Kapadia n Irani.. with Shah as a drug addict.. nice movie.. worth a second watch
