stilted dialog, wooden acting by experienced actors. Story line poor. At least the CGI was generally good!
It does have some laughs, but that doesn't change the fact this is cheap, lazy rubbish that's a bit of an insult to SyFy's cult following.
The people hate SyFy films but the coveted 5 star rating finally goes to a SyFy original movie. This movie can probably be compared a lot to Battleship and I'm sure without a shadow of a doubt that this pales in comparison. But you know what, they finally nailed it with this one. There was no cheesy acting, shitty CGI, abuse of 60fps slow motion, stupid personal issues plot (slightly mentioned but actually necessary for character development).
Good job SyFy network! 80 films later you finally got it right. I expect you to completely fuck it up in the next film! But for now take the glory and bathe in it, because it will probably never happen again. You finally earned it, you finally deserve it!
Linda Hamilton has fallen a long way to end up in this crap. She's the best thing in it, and all she does is look (not quite) horrified at a camera in front of a green screen. "Woeful" is understating how bad this movie is.
Linda Hamilton and Jamie Kennedy decided their career wasn't in bad enough shape as it was, so they joined the cast of this mess. The idea that the Bermuda Triangle was caused by an alien ship under the waters was a good idea. Sadly everything else was bad.
The acting was simply appalling, and the 'Independence Day' resolution was sickening with so much American Machismo (tm).
This is just terrible..It started off OK with Airforce one flying through an electrical storm over the Bermuda triangle, then its all down hill from there. The acting is cringeworthy, and the CGI / special effects are laughable.
Standard SyFy silliness.
This is one of the worst movies made, and not in a good way. In a really lame, boring way. Waste of time, waste of talent.
Shockingly bad the idea was good but the implementation was awfull
Too many continuity errors more so where ships and helicopters were used
Also dialogue errors "USS Cyclops was a cargo ship carrying coal" Wrong it was a US navy purpose built COLLIER signfcatly different from a cargo ship of the period, also firing a rocket launcher insde a chopper not a good idea
Typical SyFy/The Asylum film that gives something for Linda Hamilton & Jamie Kennedy something to do. With a plot that borrows heavily from Independence Day, combined with laughable CGI, the most painful thing to watch in this movie was the horrible acting of Mya.
