Movie Info

Hong Kong filmmaker Joseph Cheung directed this violent exploitation melodrama starring Sharla Cheung as Mandy, whose father is arrested and her mother is hospitalized with a heart condition. To pay her younger sister's bills and fund her mother's desperately-needed operation, Mandy becomes a nightclub hostess. She becomes fast friends with a veteran hostess named Hung (Cherie Chung), and when Hung isn't drinking so much she gets hospitalized, she teaches Mandy the business and helps her out of jams. Mandy returns the favor by preventing Hung's suicide after she loses all her money in the stock market crash, and sleeping with wealthy and evil triad boss Tong Pun (Paul Chun in a typically colorful performance). Tong is a real villain, having previously raped Hung as well as failing to help Mandy's family when her father was thrown in jail while trying to collect from a person who owed the gangster some money. Needless to say, Mandy's father is eventually released from jail, only to learn of the events which had occured during his incarceration and seeking bloody revenge on Tong Pun. Maria Cordero co-stars with Billy Lau and Wu Ma.
