Gould's film turns abstract inquery into concrete reality before our eyes.
Audience Reviews for Between the Folds
Definitely interesting - origami is a lot more involved and complex than I ever thought.
7.2/10 A very insightful documentary about the artistry and craftsmanship involved in the work of Origami. Never before have I seen such a documentary that portrays the art so majestically to the point where it proves to me that it is in its own, an art. It is also a gift. Anyone can fold paper, but only a select few can-as the film says-create art. The same goes for any "art", although this PBS-produced Documentary gave me some insight into the world of the Origami. It's not the best documentary out there-but as a documentary about several people who enjoy the artistry involved in Origami art-it does its job right. Much recommended to just about anyone looking for a solid, insightful documentary about a lesser known art form which deserves a hell of a lot more recognition than it's getting. And Origami is just one of those few arts.
