Blockers is a case where the movie has an interesting, albeit creepy, premise but reduces it to the most bare gross-out humor.

While it wasn't as funny as I thought it would be, and John Cena isn't quite there yet as a leading man in a movie...it's still funny and it still delivers laughs.

Blockers reminds us, albeit comically, that socially and culturally, we have a long way to go when judging boys and girl equally, sexually.

A fun, modernized teen sex comedy with a hilarious ensemble and a welcoming directorial debut by Kay Cannon.

Wholly enjoyable from start to finish due in no small part to this exceptional cast.

Blockers is what it is, a solid teen sex comedy. While the film does have some noted positives, it really isn't the progressive wonder which the marketing wants it to be.

Sorry, but you can't try to get sentimental at the end of a movie that featured butt-chugging.

A picture in the spirit of the early Farrelly brothers comedies, where a premise usually functioned as the glue holding together a mass of gross-outs.

Blockers succeeds when it's being ridiculous and funny, but it's something special when it allows teen girls and single moms and female directors who hardly ever get to participate in the fun of mainstream comedies suddenly get seated at the table.

The two narratives ... contrast so effectively for a heartfelt combination, like a mashup of Vacation John Hughes and Sixteen Candles John Hughes.

Blockers is a comedy with a lot of heart. [Full Review in Spanish]

Blockers' approach... is so old-fashioned that its makers - [debut director] Kay Cannon and screenwriters Brian and Jim Kehoe - took advantage of political correctness to update it. [Full review in Spanish]

Parents scared of their own irrelevancy in the face of their children growing up is a tale as old as time. We know the kids are alright, but maybe once it'd be nice to show how that came to be.

[Blockers] is an effective comedy that consolidates a dynamic narrative with ferocious gags and punchlines. [Full Review in Spanish]

While it doesn't shy away from being crude, the film manages to be touching, observant, socially relevant, and downright hilarious.

By giving the parents and the kids equal weight in the story, what could be a bog-standard sex comedy turns into something that could be legitimately moving for some audiences.

Kay Cannon has made a provocative comedy whose humor and intelligence surpasses all expectations in an age in which political correctness has become a mine field. [Full Review in Spanish]

If I had any qualm with the film it was the constant reminders of other Universal films that kept showing up on screen.
