One of the best movies about pro-wrestling.

Vaguely remember it from back in the day. Seemed a fairly accurate representation of the days of Stampede Wrestling of the era.

Ive been watching these little known wrestling movies from the 70s lately (watching Below the Belt last week) and they have a little bit of difficulty matching the magic that is created in the squared circle. This actually would make a good companion w/ The Wrestler because it is partly about a wrestler who is working past his prime & suffers heart problems. William Smith carries Blood & Guts unfortunately he is saddled bagged w/ a bad gimmick & a weak script. The other part of this is the new comer Brian Clarke to the wrestling world & it is funny when he goes through a slue of gimmicks until he settles on Jungle Boy. Pretty lame but it's not like Vince McMahon was creative consultant.
