A film that gets into its female leads mind quite well, here Cecilia suarez playing a lonely woman winning a trip away for two at work, and her striking up a friendship with a man possibly in similer lonely circumstances before the trip and inviting him along, as the time comes near, its a interesting story to see where these two will lead. some solid acting from the leads and a nice pace to everything.,

Kind of disturbing, but very touching as well. It is an off-beat romantic movie.

Mexican romantic comedy about two quiet lonely boring people who decide to date to fill the void. Horribly realistic and pretty entertaining too ... if you've ever been on a date for any other reason than actually liking the person, you'll empathize with the awkwardness of having absolutely nothing to talk about.

The director has banished romcom destiny - that force that these days leaves us knowing exactly who's going to pair up with whom going in - in favour of training his camera on two ingrained loners whose happiness is far less assured. The forces pushing these characters together are only, you feel, equal to those keeping them apart... The result is a film that's a good deal more unpredictable than the average screen romance, which perhaps explains the vast number of mishaps the couple have to endure: fridges on the blink, engines cutting out, etc. For all its dreamy trappings, for all the old woman in the framing story insists this *is* just a story, "Blue Eyelids" has the feel of having been lived through rather than concocted or calculated: it's finally a vivid, heady experience.

Another good film from Mexico.

This is all about boy meets girl, the early awkwardness; followed by the tenderness; troubles and loneliness common to modern life.

The Mexican movie wonder goes on, but this isn't exactly wonderous. However, it's about these two working class people, lonely souls and lonely bodies, there one of them wins a vacation trip for two. An opportunity perhaps, if it wasn't for all this silence.

A film with no big moves, but touching and with a photo language of its own. And quite another type of heroes.

Hey, you know those Hollywood films where two misfits hook and they're like, totally made for each other and don't care remotely what "society" thinks? Yeah, well 'Blue Eyelids' isn't like that. Two strangers, who kind of vaguely knew each other at school, are drawn to each other by circumstances and desperation, not because of attraction or passion. Contreras cuts between Marina and Victor's lives, both equally lonely and withdrawn, yet when they're together, nothing changes. Their dates are notable for their constant awkwardness and uncomfortable silences. You want to see some really uncomfortable sex and ahem, self-pleasure scenes? You do? OK, rent this on Lovefilm in a few months. Seriously, its rejection of clichés and overall atmosphere of genuine empathy with Marina and Victor is refreshing and it shows that love just doesn't come easily or naturally for some, but it's a little hard-going at times and you're bound to squirm in your seat in embarrassment quite often.

Risky to me to make a film in which the purpose of showing us how boring people can be can be mixed up without making it boring because of that, I think Parpados Azules does it well. Of course is a film that instead looking for the cheap comedy or the sordid (but nonetheless cheap) drama looks for an sour and, evidently, blue story about lonely little people. But it is very well told, at least enough to entertain for a moment.

Almost perfect movie about two lonely people and how they live their loneliness. Outstanding.

Buena.

Buena, aunque nada espectacular.

Maravillosa!

llego a recordarme punch-drunk love
