Audience Reviews for Blue Eyes

Tense and breathtaking, Jose Joffily's Blue Eyes it's one of the best exemples of the great Brazilian Cinema in modern times. With a controversial theme about immigration and humilliation against Latin Americans. Blue Eyes, became a very personal film to me. I always saw my brazilian people and my Latin neighbors suffer prejudice from other countrys, without mention our third world problems. In Brazil history, the ditadorship that we suffer from the Military Regime (1964 - 1985) was support by USA, history fact that it's also reported in the film. Blue Eyes show the American paranoia and abuse with Latin people, in the contemporaneous days pos 9/11attacks. Powerful and moving, Jose Joffily present a terrific direction, just like the screenplay by Melanie Dimantas and Paulo Halm with story by Joffily, Jorge Duran and Halm. David Rasche and Irandhir Santos have great actings that make Blue Eyes an unforgettable movie. Fresh.
