South Korean filmmaker Lee Soo-young... creates an effective atmosphere of mystery and suspicion that shifts throughout the story and explores, however obliquely, issues of status and success and self-image that plague the doctor and his psyche.
in filling in that dark unknown space in the plastic bag & in supplementing the narrative of Bluebeard with our own anxiety, expectation & imagination, we too risk losing our heads, and being left without our critical faculties and detective skills
An intelligent, gripping crime thriller in the vein of the great crime thrillers of the 90's like Seven and The Usual Suspects with some Hitchcockian suspense.
