If you're going to write a film in which the audience is alone with the protagonist for the majority of the run-time, you have give us a reason to invest that time and unfortunately, it's just not here.
Benjamin never quite replicates that creepy feeling of being alone in a dangerous place, resulting in a film that that needs some dirt under its nails and to get under our skin to be effective. It simply never is.
The score, cinematography, and general premise are all good reasons to seek this out and enjoy it when you can. However, couch your expectations with the understanding that this is not a spear-sharp thriller.
