It's 2006, and George -- a small-town sixteen-year-old -- is on the road to complete social and academic failure. He dreams of being a star, knows he's a gifted musician -- but no one else seems to agree.... So, when Max -- the son of a mega-famous musical duo -- enrolls at his school and takes an interest in his music, George can't believe it! Neither can anyone else. But as the boys grow closer, George begins to question why he actually wants to spend time with Max, finding himself faced with a dream-come-true scenario... if only he knew what his dream-come-true really is.

A sweet, albeit slight, queer coming out film featuring a cast of likeable actors, virtually zero stakes, and a typical British ending. Great for filling in the void left by Heartstopper and Sex Education.

Bonus Track can be a little sugary but not every queer coming of age story needs to be mired in trauma. Queer kids deserve their fantastic romances too, and that’s what Bonus Track delivers.

An inspiring film with no sex, no nudity, no special effects, no death, no sick kids and no car chases or violence? BONUS TRACK !! A great film not to be missed for the sheer joy it brings and loving parents who accept their child for who he is. AWESOME!
