Audience Reviews for Bröderna Lejonhjärta

One of the oldest childhood memories is watching this film as a little boy (or the split up series version) and how excited, thrilled and terrified I was all through it. Rewatching it now many years later I can still see what I loved about it, and I can't say that about all the stuff I used to like. Astrid Lindgren's novel takes a rather unusual and taboo-breaking approach on children dealing with death, telling the adventures of the Brothers Lionheart in a medieval afterlife world. Yes, some of the outfits and especially the dragon effects look horribly outdated but the wonderful story still works for children and young teenagers, I am sure. They just don't make children films like that anymore.
