Movie Info

Tony Todd Tiffany Shepis, Daniel Roebuck, and George Wendt star in this thriller inspired by the true story of a well-known Arizona cult. Small town therapist Jonathan has recently formed a strange fixation on a local cult that worships a mythological figure who was brutally murdered. With every step that Jonathan takes towards understanding the true inner-workings of the dangerous cult, his chances of escaping with his belief system intact diminishes. Perhaps Jonathan was destined to become yet another covert to this warped belief system from the very beginning.

Audience Reviews for Bryan Loves You

A pseudo-found-footage film that explores a religious cult, Bryan Loves you often deviates from the genre form. While the film starts interestingly enough and features appearances by Tony Todd (Candyman) and George Wendt, it just never quite becomes what it could have been. Still, it is a rather interesting and entertaining--if ultimately disappointing--film.

Tony Todd opens with the beginning narration for what seems to be an entirely different movie. This movie goes steadily downhill from there. The mythical Bryan was the son of a king and queen... In Arizona... Yes, apparently royalty once lived in Arizona. We're never sure what happened to this kingdom, just that Bryan was killed by some guy as a child and now everyone is loved by him. That's as deep as the plot goes. Once the main character's two friends have left the movie, we are forced to become painfully aware just how much he sucks at acting. The actor, who's not surprisingly also the director and producer, can't emote to save his life. It is impossible to be conviced by his performance.
