Audience Reviews for Buffalo Soldier

There's going to be a sabre charge. In the summer of 1871 a group of Black Buffalo Soldiers were ordered by the white man's government, who cared less if they lived or died, to drive out the Native Americans from an assigned area. The soldiers can relate to the Native Americans but have their own livelihood to worry about. Meanwhile, division forms within the ranks as a group of friends start splitting when one marries and some know some secrets about the soldier's new wife that may cause unneeded drama. "What's her kind doing here?" "She ain't that kind." John 'Bud' Cardos, director of Drag Racer, Kingdom of the Spiders, Skeleton Coast, Night Shadows, The Day Time Ended, The Dark, and Act of Piracy, delivers Buffalo Soldiers. The storyline for this picture is just average and a bit cliché. The acting was very mediocre but the settings and costumes were well selected. The cast includes Robert DoQui, Issac Fields, Barbara Hale, Cesar Romero, and Isabel Sanford. "I'd be mighty proud to be your wife." I came across this movie on Netflix and decided to add it to the queue since I enjoy blaxploitation films from this era. This was just okay and not as imaginative as I would have liked. There are some good character interactions and shootouts; but overall, this is a below average addition to the genre that is just okay. "I don't have to worry about my woman or my bed." Grade: C-
