Movie Info

Three tradition-bound women haunt an isolated estate - and its modern new owners - in this atmospheric Tunisian thriller, equal parts family psychodrama, coming-of-age melodrama, and Gothic horror tale. Rising star Hafsia Herzi(The Secret of the Grain) joins a stunning cast of actresses in this parable of traditional values, contemporary mores, and awakening desire.

Audience Reviews for Buried Secrets (Anonymes)

A Tunisian drama with absolutely no point at all. Three women, a mother and two daughters, are squatting in the servant's quarters of an abandoned home. They spend their lives hiding out and making a meager existence by gardening and sewing. That changes when a couple moves in upstairs. The ladies kidnap the female of the duo and keep her locked up with them. No character growth, the secret of the title is boring and the ending is mostly out of line with the remainder of the movie. Dreck.
