01/12/2021 Eddie Garcia is phenominal! The lines are brilliant! Big points for featuring love for the aspin (dog). The film depicts reality for older people who didnt have any family of their own. See more Alan W @PatronWong 03/25/2013 Surprisingly charming and touching comedy/drama about a retired cantankerous older gay man and his cancerous dog living in a small village in rural Philippines, the film scores point for originality in not only its challenging choice of subject matters (see: cantankerous older gay man and cancerous dog) but also in its often existential ponderance on the meaning of life and how we anticipate death - juxatoposing (intentionally?) with the broader comedic elements of the film. It could come across as a bit episodic and slightly odd but that's also its charm. An inspiring little gem that demands to be watched by a wider audience.
