like hockey, like this... too much for me.

Seen 2 times.Trois heures. But who cares?

Truly well filmed stylistically, with fantastic acting and captures all the key points in the series, from beer stealing to asshole refs.

Kick ass Canadian film about the 1972 Summit Series between Team Canada and the Soviet Red Army Team. Takes the viewer onto the ice, into the dressing room and behind the scenes, exposing the struggle Team Canada faced both at home and in the heart of the Soviet Empire, as well as the behind the scenes politics and dirty tricks. Manages to build suspense and emotion even though the outcome is known. If your a Canadian or a Hockey fan you've got no excuse not to watch this.

I kinda think it tried a little too hard to be documentary-like. But it was still good...accurate...detailed. And a good change from the Disney style of things like Miracle. Not that Miracle was bad...but the difference is good.

It was well made. Well played and mostly stayed true to what actually happen. I'm surprised how they've stayed so close to what Phil Espisito actually said in Vancouver after game 4.

excellent documentary type film. really tells the story of the Summit Series. Authentic sticks from the era and skates maek it all more realisitc. Actors look very similar to their real life counterparts, as casting was done very well. and excellent movie and if it doesn't make you proud to be Canadian, you should be ashamed of yourself.

The movie is okay, it does capture the essence of the series - but the real story is excellent.

Absolutely fantastic re-creation of the 1972 Summit Series, which will blow hockey fans away with its authenticity and attention to detail. Shot in a documentary style that makes it look someone was there with a camera to capture everything that was going on behind the scenes, this mini-series is pitch-perfect in its casting of all the star players and officials who were involved in this historic event. I may not have been alive when the series originally took place, but the film does a great job at recapturing what it must have felt like.

It was a good movie, espically with some of the original clips being shown.

This film does an amazing job of capturing the trials and tribulations of the team and the nation during the Summit Series. Some of the stuff that is external to the hockey seems a little tacked on, ie. the man being kidnapped, but these moments are few and far between. Alan Eagleson and Ken Dryden are represented perfectly, Eagleson in all his slimy-ness, and Dryden in his quiet introspective way, all through the movie working on his book 'The Game.' A must see for hockey fans, and definitely worth a look for any Canadian wanting to relive one of the nation's proudest moments. As an added bonus, it has a fantastic soundtrack from some of Canada's best artists of the day.

Recommended for hockey lovers and sports history fans, this is the story of the remarkable 1972 Summit Series between Canada and the USSR. If you enjoyed 'Miracle,' you'll probably like this. More hockey, more grit, less glamor, no Disney, amazing story. However, it moves quite slowly and was made to seem somewhat like a documentary. Might be a bit confusing for those who don't know about this era in hockey. (I caught this in two parts on CBC one night, so it may be re-aired in the future, for those in the Detroit area.)
