Audience Reviews for Capital Punishment

[img][/img] See Gary Daniels run. See Gary Daniels fight. And fight. And fight. And fight. And fight -- you get the idea. In fact, I'd say 90% of David Hue's silly action opus Capital Punishment is, well, ACTION. And while non-stop martial arts mayhem is a wonderful idea, the execution needs to be spot-on for this concept to be remotely effective. I mean, what good is wall-to-wall action if the fight choreography has all the style and grace of a one-armed homeless veteran battling a feral dog for scraps out of a McDonalds dumpster? Even David Carradine looks bored, though this might be due to the fact that the poor guy sits behind a desk until the film's third act, and even then he's confined to a truck. For shame, Mr. Carradine. FOR SHAME. Anyway, unless you have a hard-on for all things Gary Daniels, I can't think of a single reason to waste your time with this one. It also comes as no surprise that this entry shows up VERY early on Daniels' resume. Even though he's never risen beyond the direct-to-video market, the man is clearly capable of better. Much better. If you're in desperate need of a Gary Daniels fix, spend your hard-earned dollar on Rage, Spoiler, or Fist of the North Star, instead.
