Captain America: Civil War is fun; it's too well made, acted and scripted for it to be anything less. Go to Full Review

This is a "war" where quips and quotes greatly outnumber casualties. The noticeable flaws are clear to see, but the thrills and simple satisfactions more than save the day. Go to Full Review

The things it does well far outshine its downsides, and it is a showcase that comic book movies can not only be fun and entertaining, but also thought-provoking. Go to Full Review

The battles have few moments of lucidity compared to other Marvel films, since it seems that there lies the conflict of this new comics universe: achieving the balance between fights and words. Maybe they should take more time to develop the scripts... Go to Full Review

Anthony L 10/01/2021 A perfect introduction to the 3rd phase of the MCU. The story, dialogue, and action blend in a perfect stew of good times. See more Jeffrix 09/10/2021 good movie to follow the story arc. a few issues with the fight scene with all the heroes. vision disappeared through most of it conveniently. and I hate watching iron man and cap fighting. But it's got to follow the arc I guess. See more Jasmine W @jasniquejewels 1d Road to Spider-Man: Brand New Day 1/7 "I can do this all day" if Tony and Steve worked it out on the remix. so many good scenes in this film but the siberian bunker showdown battle between cap and iron-man has got to be at the top for me. where iron man uses his repulsor‘s to aim at caps shield and you can see the clash it’s just so peak. stan lee "tony stank" cameo is also really good. See more Jack L @RT22102532 1d *Captain America: Civil War* sits comfortably in the upper-middle tier of the MCU, featuring a uniquely compelling villain, some excellent action set pieces, and a genuinely emotional climax. The introductions of Spider-Man and Black Panther are handled brilliantly, with both characters making an immediate impact despite their limited screen time. It does lose some weight due to the lack of meaningful long-term consequences that an event of this magnitude should have had on the wider universe, and a few sequences are noticeably over-reliant on green screen. Nevertheless, it remains a thoroughly enjoyable rewatch and is still stronger than much of the content Marvel has released in recent years. See more Bret M @BretM-3 3d I have always said that this is my favorite Captain America movie, and, all these years later, it still is. For starters, the story being told here is great in my opinion. I think the Sokovia Accords make sense within the world of the MCU, and the fight between Captain America and Iron Man makes total sense in the context of this film. I also love both teams in the movie and their motivations for being on the team they chose. I also love the introduction of Spider-Man into the MCU. And this movie also has some of the best action in the MCU ever. The final battle with Iron Man, Captain America, and Bucky is absolutely epic, and the Airport Battle is iconic! The Russos really have an eye for these big, crowd pleasing action sequences, and this movie is no different. Overall, this movie is still awesome over 10 years later (can’t believe it’s been that long!) It’s the epic story of the Avengers being divided on their active freedom, and the story of 2 friends fighting over a disagreement. See more Read all reviews
