There's something about Captivity that'll keep you watching; it could be your morbid curiosity, perhaps it's a sick bloodlust, or maybe, just maybe, it's because Elisha Cuthbert is clad in a low-cut dress at all times. My money's on all three.

The irony is that Captivity is ABOUT the things it's hated for - a culture that views women as objects, fascination with death and mutilation, turning to the misery of others for our entertainment.

Does exactly what it says on the tin, grabbing viewers unawares and keeping them in its thrall for an hour and a half of non-stop, heart-pounding exploitation kicks.
