Movie Info

During World War I, German soldiers capture British Capt. Allison (Leslie Howard) and take him to a prison camp, where he spends long, lonely months yearning for his wife, Monica (Margaret Lindsay). When his best friend from home, Lt. Digby (Douglas Fairbanks Jr.), happens to be imprisoned in the same camp, Allison feels a great sense of relief. However, he has no idea that Digby harbors a dark secret -- before he was shipped off to Germany, he began an affair with Monica.
