The movie is a celebration of all things cat, and as such is unquestionably perfect. Highly recommended. detroitcineaste See more Unexpetedly D @RT99924783 Aug 16, 2026 I didn’t think it was possible to mess up a collection of cat videos, but this felt very close to it. I was shocked that this collection of videos ‘curated’ for the big screen were mostly shot on profile view! I would assume this would be a non starter for choosing what videos to include. Some of the editing was off (jump cuts and some scenes dragged). Including social media handles text on so many of the videos felt like I was scrolling social media, but just bigger. I imagine that licensing is a challenge for this production but the end product felt very amateur hour. Several of the artistic shorts were compelling and maybe that is a strength that future iterations can build on. But with such a heavy reliance on content that feels so everyday, there needs to be a lot more consideration to elevate it for the big screen (and the real cost of entry to a theater). Also, there seems to be some confusion about funding going to cat charities. This is not always the case. See website. They've been adding more and more "filler" now, e.g. long, pretty-mid, animated cat stories. These really detract from the experience. Unfortunate to see the quality drop. It's an amazing collection that the whole family (yes, even teens!!!) will love. A portion of the proceeds go to local cat charities, which is even better.
