Movie Info

An unforeseen suicide attempt upsets the fragile balance among a dysfunctional family living at the base of Mount Bayo just as their village begins making preparations for the upcoming ski season in this peculiar family drama from writer/director Victoria Galardi (Amorosa Soledad, Pensé que iba haber fiesta). Juana Keller is the elderly matriarch of an eccentric family. No one ever expected that she would attempt to take her own life, but now it's happened. Though she failed, Juana now lies in a deep coma, unconsciously depending on her adult daughters Marta (Adriana Barraza) and Mercedes (Veronica Llinas) to care for her every need. When the family learns that Juana had recently hit the jackpot at a local casino, everyone begins making plans for how they want to spend the money. Everyone except Marta, that is. The one loyal daughter only wants to see her mother make a full recovery. Meanwhile Marta's daughter Ines (Ines Efron) launches a personal campaign to become the new face of Mount Bayo, growing convinced that she needs to have an orgasm in order to achieve that perfect look of ecstasy, and catch the eyes of the marketing gurus running the contest to find a winner.
