Not just a Tommy Trinder vehicle but a vehicle for old time music hall. One song after another which becomes more than annoying. Released during WW2 so I suppose it was made for those who were unable to attend such events during those hard times but this is a struggle
This film is about Victorian music hall, and is loosely based in the real rivalry between George Leybourne and Alfred Vance. The duel between Leybourne and Vance, with an audience of doctors watching on one side and undertakers is very amusing.
