Movie Info

Check Your Guns stars singing cowboy Eddie Dean, once again in tandem with stuttering sidekick Roscoe Ates. Appointed sheriff of Red Gap, Dean vows to rid the town of gunplay by ordering that all firearms be deposited in his office. But his good intentions are thwarted by an outlaw chieftan (I. Stanford Jolley) who's in league with a crooked judge (William Fawcett). With all this going against him, Dean still manages to emerge triumphant, with nary a tonsil out of place. Filmed by PRC Pictures in 1947, Check Your Guns was released the following year by PRC's successor Eagle-Lion.
