Movie Info

Various cliques pair off for a brutal battle to defend their names in this cult item. Cheerleader Ninjas concerns the efforts of the titular squad to regain its reputation in the community after zealous churchgoers blame the pom-pommers for a particularly graphic internet porn site. The self-appointed leader of the anti-cheerleader cause is Stephen (Jeff Nicholson), a Catholic school teacher once expelled from the squad; he recruits some of his students to join in the fight. Meanwhile, the school-spirit girls enlist the help of some geeks in learning kung-fu, which they plan on doling out to Stephen and his entourage.

Audience Reviews for Cheerleader Ninjas

B-movie campiness that intends to offend everyone at some point and pretty much succeeds at that task. The humor was mostly sex and toilet based - a bit too lowly to enjoy or laugh at. The cheerleaders with ninja weapons and the squad fights were awesome though. Gratuitous nudity is, of course, present with the fantasy girl doing her own and all others being body doubles. Tries too hard to be funny, and it's not so bad it's good either.

It took me five minutes to figure out that this movie is not worth sitting through. Terrible acting, complete lack of humor, and I would sooner gouge my eyes out than sit through any more of it.

I'm not sure why any film would want it, but "Cheerleader Ninjas" seems to be a Troma wannabe. The title isn't as flashy as their more notorious pictures, but the film is campy enough to bring to mind horrible films like "Stuck On You" and "Squeeze Play" It's also just as bad as most of the Troma films, which is clearly the easiest similarity to identify. There's more plot in this film than anything else, and I'm embarrassed to admit that I really couldn't follow anything that was going on at any given time. I like my dopey T & A movies with a little less story and a little more T & A. There's not much nudity in this at all, and that makes you wonder who this movie was made for. It doesn't have any elements that would appeal to anyone. The humor is lame and amateurish, and it doesn't even work on a "so bad it's good" level. In fact, this doesn't work on any level. The filmmakers could have at least done the very basic, simple task of filling the cast with hot girls. None of the females in the film are in the least bit attractive, and as sad as it is to say, most of them look better with their clothes on. And needless to say, none of them can act or deliver a punchline to save their lives. The film looks like it was shot in a week by people who had no idea what they were doing. There's nothing funny or professional about this dreadful abomination. You kind of have to admire a film that has absolutely nothing going for it. "Cheerleader Ninjas" has the mildly amusing title going for it, but someone forgot to write a movie to go with that
